Lisa Burton is a pro-European campaigner and writer based in Spain, with a long-standing commitment to democracy and equality. She chairs the citizens’ rights group Bremain in Spain and serves on the Board of the European Movement UK.
Originally from the Rhondda Valleys in South Wales, Lisa combines lived experience with years of political expertise to highlight the real-world consequences of political decisions, particularly Brexit's impact on people’s everyday lives. Through her campaigning, writing, and leadership roles, she works to keep integrity, accountability, and fairness central to public life, and she is passionate about combating the far right's politics of fear, division, and disinformation.
Lisa regularly contributes to independent media, including The Bylines Network, and is an experienced voice on Brexit, UK–EU relations, freedom of movement, democracy, and citizens’ rights.
